
Janene Tuniz is a Sustainable Mobility Officer at the UN Environment. She provides technical assistance and support to national governments and local authorities in the development and implementation of sustainable urban mobility policies, plan, and strategies. Her work is focused on the environmental, road safety and accessibility benefits of investing in walking and cycling and integrated urban mobility. Janene has managed projects across Africa centred on the needs of vulnerable groups and their relationship with the implementation of low carbon transport strategies. She is an internationally accredited mediator (CEDR) and holds an LL.M with a specialization in Sustainable Development from the University of Milan and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Pretoria.
