Ayikai Poswayo is a programme director at Amend, a non-governmental organisation which focuses on road safety in Africa. Over the last eight years, she has managed and directed Amend’s SARSAI and Safe Schools Africa programmes in ten countries on the continent. Both these programmes are focused on delivering safe and healthy journeys to school for children and both have won international awards. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in transport planning and engineering. Prior to joining Amend, she worked as a traffic engineer for consultancies in the United Kingdom and Ghana.
