Dr Mugenyi holds a PhD specialising in Spatial Modelling (University of Edinburgh), an Msc-Urban Planning and GIS (ITC – University of Twente Netherlands), and a BSc–Geography (Makerere University). He has over 20 years of practical experience in the field of GIS and remote sensing applications particularly in the areas of urban planning, green space / public space. He is currently the Chairperson of the Advocates for Public Spaces (APS) in Uganda. APS aims at increasing access to safe, inclusive, and accessible green and public spaces and active transport in Uganda.
